Nice site you have here! Have looked at the site before but never bothered looking @ the Guest book. Found 2 of my first cousins once removed. Am from the Baltimore Lessner's from Bavaria. Don't think there is a relationship with this branch but have not really checked it out. Have not been able to trace my great-grandfathers brothers and sister nor records before my great-great grandparents came here in 1861. Guess I'll keep on looking!

If you can help me locate a family from IB.His name is Cmdr.William Bengle and he lived at 300 Inglewood Dr. He had 5 kids,Toy,Toby,Tanya,Bud and Bill.They were stationed on Guam in the early 50's and then moved to IB sometime in the late 50's. Last time I saw the family was in 1972 while traveling from NC to Calif.Our families have been friends since we were kids and lost contact with them in the 70's. Hi! My name is Denise Lessner. My grandfather was from Baltimore. His name was Robert Lessner and his parents were George and Sarah Lessner. As far as I know they left Germany around the beginning of the first world war. They used to live in southern Bavaria (Germany). This is all I know about them. I'm 19 years old and would like to find out a little bit more about my "family tree". Even though we have the same last name I doubt it very seriously that we come from the same family, cause I've never heard about any of my relatives moving to California. But you never know! It's a small world out there! P.S. I think this web page is a great idea!

I am reseraching Lessner genealogy! My father's name was Harold S. Lessner and his father's name was Benj Lessner and his father's name was Morris Lessner! Benj Lessner was born in Stryj, Galicia, Austro-Hungary--now Stryj,Ukraine.

Greetings from Austria! Did you know that the name lessner comes from Lesna ( that means wood) there also exist other forms like leszna, lessin,... The family founded in Schlesia ( nowadays Poland)! But for a long time it was Austrian and German territory. There is also a castle that is named lesna. Hope to get in contact with my "family" in the whole world!

Great site. See you are a CT, I went to Class C School at I.B. in 1954 and shipped out to then COMNAVFE in Yokosuka. I was a Telemen rate in those days which has long since been abolished. Interested in history and background info on Navy Comm Center, IB. Appreciate any info or thoughts.
There is a nice Lessner family in Hungary - Austria - Italy - Canada - England, originating from Tapolca, Hungary. Some members used to visit California. My grandmother was one of the Lessner girls. Unfortunately she is not alive anymore (I am 57 ...)
